Featured Artists:
Asabi Goodman - "Raising the Female Voice"
American-born Australian Asabi Goodman brings her extraordinary versatility and commanding stage presence to Jazz Women of the World. From her engineering background to starring alongside Tom Hanks in Baz Luhrmann's Elvis, Goodman's journey is as diverse as her vocal range. Her extensive experience spans classical choirs, jazz ensembles, and major stage productions including Hairspray and Chicago. A creative force in her own right, she has produced acclaimed shows like Two Divas: Jazz vs Opera and Trois Femmes Puissantes, demonstrating her commitment to showcasing female talent.

A classically trained vocalist who began her journey with the Tehran Symphony Orchestra, Majd's artistic evolution has taken her from prestigious venues in Iran to studying at the Universitat Mozarteum Salzburg. Her most recent project, Stolen Identity, continues to push boundaries in multi-art expression.

Internationally acclaimed Nicki Parrott brings her extraordinary bass playing and sublime vocals to this special evening. For over a decade, she was the bassist and vocalist for the legendary Les Paul Trio, performing alongside music icons like Paul McCartney and Tommy Emmanuel. Her latest album Feelin' Groovy showcases her innovative approach to 60’s classics with an all-Australian ensemble. With over two dozen vocal records to her name and performances at the world's top jazz venues, Parrott's masterful musicianship continues to earn accolades globally.
